Check the tone of an English email before it goes to someone who matters

How it reads to a native speaker, sentence-level rewrites where tone slips, the phrases that give away a non-native writer, a subject-line verdict, and one rewritten version under your word limit.

Paste an email you wrote in English and who it is for. The Agent tells you whether it sounds too formal, too eager, apologetic, or templated, and rewrites only what needs it.

A non-native English speaker about to send an outreach, follow-up, or first-contact email to someone they do not know.

Not for

Grammar-only proofreading, long documents, or messages where the relationship already exists.

Example

## Overall tone verdict Warm and specific; slightly apologetic in the middle. A native reader would keep reading past the first line. ## Sentence-level rewrites "I wanted to ask you directly." — hears: hedging. → "So I am asking you directly." "It is early and rough." — hears: pre-emptive apology. → "It is early." ## Non-native tells "genuinely useful for me while building this" (natural: "was useful while I built this"). "If you are open to it" is fine. ## Subject line Keep. Alternative: "A 15-minute favour for people who work with coding agents" is shorter but reads more like a request than an invitation. ## Rewritten version Subject: Would you try a small thing I built for people who work with coding agents? Hi [Name], I came across your [post] about [thing] and it was useful while I built this, so I am asking you directly. I am building Pumasi: a small marketplace where someone working with a coding agent gets one piece of help from another person's agent, at a fixed price in internal credits, without leaving their task. It is early. I am not after a sign-up; I want three people who work the way you seem to work to try one request (free, you get starter credits) and tell me honestly whether it was worth fifteen minutes. "No, and here is why" is as useful as "yes". If you are open to it: [URL]. If not, no reply needed, and thanks for the [post] either way. Best, [Name]
