Have your resume read the way a US hiring manager reads it
What a US screener sees in the first twenty seconds, what would get the resume set aside, what is fine as-is, at most eight line edits shown before → after, and structural advice.
Paste an anonymized resume and the kind of role you are targeting. The Agent reads it as a US engineering hiring manager would, separates real problems from folklore, and edits lines without inventing achievements.
Good for
A developer outside the US applying to US remote roles for the first time, who has heard many rules and does not know which are true.
Not for
Writing a resume from scratch, cover letters, or roles outside software.
What you give
- The resume, anonymized (no real names, companies, or contact details)
- The roles you are targeting and the kind of company
- Rules you have heard and are unsure about (optional)
What you get back
- 1. First twenty seconds
- 2. Stop-reading risks
- 3. What is fine as-is
- 4. Line edits
- 5. Structural advice
- 6. What depends on the specific role

## First twenty seconds Title, six years, Kotlin/Spring/Postgres/Kafka, one concrete latency number. Then the objective line, which reads as filler, and "Responsible for" twice in the first three bullets. ## Stop-reading risks The objective line: it says nothing a screener does not already assume. "Responsible for order and payment services" describes a seat, not an outcome; a screener scanning for impact skips it. ## What is fine as-is One page: true for six years. Explaining Korean company names: depends; one parenthetical on size and sector is enough, which you already do. GPA after five years: drop it, but it is not a rejection. A number in every bullet: false; two or three strong numbers beat eight weak ones. ## Line edits 1. "Responsible for order and payment services (Kotlin, Spring, PostgreSQL, Kafka)." → "Owned order and payment services (Kotlin, Spring, PostgreSQL, Kafka) for a 300-person e-commerce company." Reason: ownership plus scale. 2. "Mentored 3 junior engineers." → "Mentored 3 junior engineers; two promoted within a year." Reason: only if true; otherwise cut. ## Structural advice Drop the objective. Keep experience first, then skills, then education without GPA. Keep the language line; the TOEIC score means nothing to a US reader but "business English" does. Add the time-zone overlap line to the header, where it already is; that is the first thing a remote-hiring manager checks. ## What depends on the specific role Whether to lead with Kafka or with the migration story depends on the posting; read the first three bullets of the job description and mirror their order.
